<p>A close friend of mine was dating his girlfriend for a very long time without a commitment. One day while visiting me out east, he announced that he finally asked her to marry him. (He bought the ring and kept it in his SUV for 18 months before he asked her to Marry him) This inspired me to write this song and named it Rising. He rose to the occasion.</p>
